Parking and transportation

Navigating a large campus can sometimes be challenging. To support students, faculty, staff, and visitors in getting around campus, we have compiled the following parking and transportation resources to help make your experience more accessible.

Parking

USC follows the ADA recommended percentage of accessible parking spaces. Similar to other private parking facilities, most of our facilities, including parking structures and lots, require a parking permit or daily pass from USC in addition to a state-issued handicap placard. ADA spaces cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For ease of access the USC Transportation Office provides information on Navigating campus with a Disability which includes maps for both University Park Campus (UPC) and Health Sciences Campus (HSC) accessible spaces as well as additional parking information.

Please note that the McCarthy Parking Structure and Jefferson Parking Structure on UPC do not have elevators, and all accessible spaces are on the ground floor.

Disability Access Ride Transportation (UPC Only)

DART is a free service provided by USC Transportation to assist USC students, faculty and staff with mobility limitations in getting around UPC. DART services are available through a scheduling system and uses golf carts for transportation. Riders may bring collapsible mobility devices that can be safely and independently secured in the passenger or storage area. For safety, drivers follow designated campus routes and approved drop-off locations and cannot make route deviations.

USC Lyft Rides Program

The USC Lyft Rides Program offers free rides provided by Lyft to current USC students, faculty and staff. The rides must be within either the UPC or HSC geofence and be requested within a qualifying time frame.

  • At UPC: 7:00pm – 2:00am, seven days a week
  • At HSC: 5:00pm – 2:00am, Monday-Friday only

Campus Bus Service (UPC, HSC & Intercampus)
